Voiceroot logo
This is the logo for voiceroot.org. The main goal was turning the words voice and root into a visual image. It was also important to understand what the website represents. Voiceroot.org is about getting to the root of an issue before speaking about it. The rings around the base of the plant represent the voice, and the hooks are the roots, curled into an almost menacing face. This was created with Illustrator.

I agree with Wynn, the logo is pretty sweet. As for the website, is it more of a blog or a type of forum thing?
Thanks for the feedback on that logo. It kind of created itself to be honest. I just sat down and kept thinking about a way to turn the name into a symbol and it just grew into something that made a lot of sense to. It’s one of the few designs I was satisfied with after the first draft had been completed.
Rico, voiceroot.org is eventually going to be both. I don’t like how forums have a way of sprawling out into mindless chatter, but I like the discussion aspect. I also don’t like how in blogs, the comments can sometimes look like an afterthought or get ignored completely. So yeah, currently working on a new model. We’ll just have to wait and see what it turns into.
