Overhead Intersection

Overhead Intersection

This is a standard overhead accident diagram. It is usually printed with magnetic backing and proportionally sized magnetic vehicles. It is intended to reenact the events of a motor vehicle accident.

Accident diagrams are so common, all that’s required is an address. A google map screenshot is saved and redrawn as a vector image in either CorelDraw or Illustrator. Some assets like trees and roadside cones are repurposed, but most of the map is done from scratch.

The most important thing to know about accident diagrams is not to reinvent the wheel. Reuse the same assets whenever possible.
